SENIOR PASTOR - David Jones

Pastor Dave, a native of Elsmere, Delaware, came to First Alliance on January 1, 2005. He and his wife, Judy were both raised in C&MA churches. Dave spent his childhood and teen years in Chester PA where his dad was a pastor. Judy was born and lived in Syracuse, NY until her family moved to Nyack NY when she was a teenager.

Because of their background and calling, the evangelization of all peoples everywhere has always been part of their heart and life. They graduated from Nyack College in 1964 with a Bachelors degree in Missions. Dave then did grad work at Jaffray School of Missions and later received his Masters from the Alliance Theological Seminary.

Dave and Judy went to Brazil with their son, Thomas, in 1967 as missionaries with The C&MA. During their years, they worked in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, church planting and leadership development. They also helped start two Alliance camps, as well as the Seminário Bíblico Aliança and the FATELA grad school. Two more sons, Randy and Phil, are Brazilian born.

In 1994, they moved to Colorado Springs CO and spent more than six years in the C&MA National Office. Dave was director for Missions Mobilization and Judy was CAMA Service’s administrative assistant. In 2001 they returned to Brazil and ministered until returning to the U.S. to serve as senior pastor at First Alliance Church.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR - Loren Salfrank

Pastor Loren is another Alliance “lifer,” having been raised in the Christian & Missionary Alliance in South Dakota where his pastor modeled the Christ life to him. Loren committed his life to Christ at age 21, married Cindy in 1974 and sensed a call to ministry in 1976. So off they went to Crown College in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating in 1981. Loren and Cindy pastored in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania before coming to First Alliance in 1995. As Associate Pastor, Loren’s ministry includes pastoral care, visitation, Men’s ministry and other areas where he uses his gifting in mercy and nurturing. Loren and Cindy have three children: Heather, David and Johanna, and two beautiful little granddaughters, Lydia and Vivienne.

YOUTH PASTOR - Chris Mercurio

Pastor Chris was raised as a pastor’s kid in the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He prayed to ask Jesus into his life at age 3 but it wasn’t until his high school years that he really began to follow the Lord. Towards the end of high school, Chris sensed God’s call to ministry. He attended and graduated from Grove City College in 2006 with a degree in Christian Thought and Christian Ministries as well as a minor in Sociology. Through those college years, God continued to affirm His call on Chris’s life for ministry and in his senior year, the Lord led him to First Alliance where he is currently serving as the church’s Youth Pastor. Chris and his wife Faith, were married in August 2006.
