C&MA Missionaries:

  • Larry & Karen Wolters:
    • It appears that the supply of rice in Burkina Faso will soon disappear.  The merchants are hiding their supplies of rice due to the government's request that they lower the prices and the merchants are the ones who have to absorb the loss.  PRAY for government leaders as they try to develop solution to the rising prices.
    • PRAY also for the Burkinabe as they struggle through these very difficult times.
  • Pete and Alice Brokopp:
    • One of the tubes in Sammy’s ears has fallen out and he has fluid in the ear.  He is using a nose spray -- if that doesn't open up his passages, he will need to have a new tube put in.  PRAY that the spray will work!
    • The conference in California, Redding church, is happening RIGHT NOW.  (April 18th - 27th)  Pray for energy, that people would be challenged to be involved in missions.   Pray for health.  Pray for good behavior in the kids.  Pray for safety in travel.  Pray for God's words out of our mouths.
  • Brazil:
    • Pray for three missionary families (national church supported), serving in the Amazon and in India. Pray for God's protection and that they will continue to minister the love of the Shepherd to the people there

PRAISES

"Love the Lord because He heard my voice and my supplications." Psalms 116:1

  • The Wolters: We are so THANKFUL that God protected us and kept us safe.  We lost two laptops, but the loss could have been much greater.  Other homes have been broken into and they have lost a whole lot more.
This week a check was sent to reserve a place for Abby at Houghton College.  She was accepted into the First Year's Honors Program and she was one of twenty-five incoming students that have been granted full-ride scholarships!
PRAISE God for how He has given her clear direction and how He has provided all that she needed to go to college.

  • The Brokopps: Charity's testing went wonderfully -- she had fun and enjoyed "going to college!"  Now we await the results -- the end of the month. Charity and I are doing school, overall without too much whining.  I am so excited that she is learning to read well via learning sight words!!!! Sammy's ear appointment gave us some info that we needed.

  • From Edna Carver: "To my church family: I want to thank you for your many prayers and concerns while I was in the hospital. Thanks for the many visits, flowers, gifts and food! I thank God for His healing power. Edna."
